make it: fondue fun for valentine's day

make it: fondue fun for valentine's day

valentine’s day is this weekend! can you believe it? since many of us will be celebrating at home this year, we have come up with a fun way to celebrate valentine’s day with your whole family. we love including our kids in valentine’s celebrations, because they deserve all of the treats and goodies, too!

a fondue bar is an easy-peasy way to make something that the whole family will enjoy. we included our heartbeat gang collection to really bring the valentine’s day theme together!

for this fondue bar, we went with a mix of savory & sweet, is there any better combination?! we chose dark chocolate, white chocolate, and a classic cheese fondue as our dipping options. you can find an easy recipe for classic swiss fondue
here, and you can find all sorts of chocolate for melting at your local grocery store!

when choosing foods to dip in your fondue, have fun with it! we decided on oreos, biscoff cookies, pretzels, marshmallows, strawberries, and pineapple chunks to dip in our chocolate fondue. for the cheese fondue, we picked cherry tomatoes, garlic crackers, crostinis, granny smith apples, gala apples, and pretzel sticks!

your little ones will love feeling like “grown ups” with a fancy fondue spread, and it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser with all of the snack varieties!

with valentine's day coming up, we created a fun DIY craft for your sweet kiddos! we used our love notes large napkins for this cute craft.

find the supplies needed and step-by-step instructions below!

Items needed for mod podge bucket

step one

begin by unfolding the napkins! you really want only one layer of napkin to make adhering easy and to avoid wrinkling. next, paint the bucket with mod podge. make sure to cover the entire surface of the bucket, but don’t lay it on too thick!

step two

apply the unfolded napkins to the bucket, trimming off any extra that hangs over the edges. smooth out the napkins so that no crinkles are present. let it dry for 10-15 minutes.

Layer napkins on bucket

step three

if needed, apply another layer of mod podge to the napkins! it is not necessary, but will preserve the design should you want to reuse it next year. or, you can remove the napkins and decorate it for another occasion using the same method and different themed napkins.

Layer Napkins on bucket

step four

fill the bucket with shredded paper, confetti, or your favorite filler! this will allow the gifts to sit nicely on top and bring instant excitement the second your little lays eyes on it.

for items to include, we suggest choosing a variety of adorable gifts, crafty things, and accessories! we are really loving our temporary tattoos, they are such a fun addition to any gift bundle. you can find them by clicking here
